Learning Tree Childcare and Preschool Center

UCS owns and manages the Learning Tree Childcare and Preschool Center, which specializes in care for infant, toddler and pre-school children. The Learning Tree and Head Start have formed a partnership bringing a higher standard of preschool education, coupled with nutrition, health, mental health and social services supports to the classroom. The Learning Tree operates from 6am-6pm Monday-Friday. With a well-trained staff dedicated to the development of your child, the Learning Tree aims to help you prepare your child for the future. By requiring parent involvement in the care of each child, the Learning Tree seeks the best developmental environment for each child.

The Learning Tree has recognized a growing need for quality childcare with Lawrence County that includes:

  • A safe and healthy environment
  • Stable, trusting relationships with care givers
  • Well trained staff
  • Opportunities for all children to maximize individual potential and acceptance
  • Respect, support, and communication with and for the child and family

We individualize lessons for your child with specialized curriculum based on effective learning methods, specific skill levels, and special needs.

The Learning Tree realizes the valuable role we play while your child is in our care and the impact we have on preparing your child for the future. With this knowledge, we believe that by requiring parent involvement and parent presence in the child care setting, a partnership will be created between the parent and the childcare staff enabling the child's physical, emotional, social, developmental, and creative well-being to be met.

The Learning Tree has a continued commitment to a quality childcare program. We are always striving to provide the highest level of care for your child. Parents are welcome to take an active participatory role in the development of our programs through volunteer opportunities, daily contact with you child's caregiver and many other options that are provided throughout the year.

It is our hope that in collaboration with the parent, we can be one of the building blocks in laying the foundation for the future of the children.
