Through the Shared-Ride Program for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), clients who are under the age of 65 and have a documented disability are able to ride the ACTS Buses for a reduced fare. Many riders use this service to travel to work, shopping, and medical locations. Riders may ride with ACTS to any location with the service area, although, the PwD Sponsor cannot be used in place of trips that are sponsored by the ADA Program.
This is a "by reservation only", "door-to-door" transportation service. It's designated for people who cannot ride fixed-route service (New Castle Area Transit Authority buses) due to a disability or lack of fixed-route service in their area. If requested, ACTS Drivers will assist you from the door of your residence to the door of your destination. Interested individuals must complete a Registration Form with ACTS.
