PA Pre-K Counts:
Funded by the state Office of Child Developmental and Early Learning, PA Pre-K Counts is a free program for preschool children ages 3-5. PA Pre-K Counts provides high quality pre-kindergarten to children at risk of school failure due to income, culture, language, or special needs. Teachers hold early childhood degrees/certifications. With average class sizes of 20, there is one-on-one time with the teachers and regular consultation with parents. The program is designed to serve preschool children and their at-risk families whose income level is at or below 300% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
