Building capacity since 1974 and designated as a Community Action Agency in 1985, together Lawrence County Social Services, Inc., Allied Coordinated Transportation Services, Inc., and United Community Services of Lawrence County make up the Lawrence County Community Action Partnership (LCCAP). LCCAP currently consists of a compliment of 280 total employees, providing over 8,000 citizens with critical services each year related to education, employment, transportation, health, housing, healthy homes, and childcare.
While each of the incorporations differs in their service provision, these three agencies have joined as one partnership with a single mission statement: LCCAP is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life within Lawrence County by eliminating and preventing the causes and effects of poverty by mobilizing and directing resources to assist, educate, and promote self-sufficiency.
In support of our mission, LCCAP has expanded services beyond Lawrence County through regional and statewide partnerships and now administers programs in 27 counties across Pennsylvania to provide critical services in response to the economic, social, and educational needs of many communities.
