ACTS “Find My Ride” New Scheduling Tool

ACTS “Find My Ride” New Scheduling Tool

The Find My Ride Schedule initiative, funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Public Transportation, has given ACTS passengers greater flexibility in scheduling and managing their trips. ACTS has been selected by PennDOT as the next shared-ride transportation provider to adopt this innovative tool, which is being introduced throughout the Commonwealth.

Now, ACTS passengers can choose to call the ACTS Customer Service to arrange or cancel their trips, or they can conveniently handle everything from their smartphone, tablet, or computer using the Find My Ride Schedule website. Through this platform, passengers can check their account balance, schedule new trips, track their driver’s arrival, view upcoming trips, and cancel any trips they no longer need. All scheduled trips, whether arranged via Find My Ride Schedule or by calling ACTS, can be viewed on the Find My Ride Schedule website.

ACTS has introduced a new tool designed to expand the features available to passengers. This includes automated reminder calls made the night before a trip, as well as notifications when the driver is about 10 minutes away from the pickup location. Additionally, ACTS can send text messages to let passengers know when the driver is roughly 5 minutes away.

“Passengers using ACTS can rest assured that, even with these new convenient scheduling and ride notification tools, our Customer Service Representatives are always available to answer the phone and assist with any inquiries,” stated Vanessa Lovlie, director of ACTS. “We recognize that while some passengers prefer using technology, others may favor a more personal touch. Our goal is to offer a variety of options to accommodate everyone’s preferences.”

Lovlie noted, “It’s important to remember that not all trips can be arranged through Find My Ride Schedule. For trips outside of Lawrence County, as well as for early morning and evening rides, passengers should reach out to our Customer Service Representatives at 724-652-5588, option 1, to schedule those trips.”
