HUD, VA, Commonwealth Celebrates End to Veteran Homelessness in Western Pennsylvania
On Thursday, December 12, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Mid-Atlantic Regional Administrator Joe DeFelice traveled to New Castle, Pa., to join more than 50 federal, state and local partners in celebrating Western Pennsylvania’s achievement in effectively ending veteran homelessness.
Recently, the U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness confirmed the Western Pennsylvania Continuum of Care’s success in meeting the criteria for ending veteran homelessness in 20 counties. These counties include Warren, Forest, Crawford, Mercer, Lawrence, McKean, Potter, Cameron, Elk, Venango, Clarion, Jefferson, Clearfield, Butler, Armstrong, Indiana, Westmoreland, Fayette, Greene and Washington. Partners will discuss success and next steps.
