Notice of Public Hearing City of New Castle Home Investment Partnership Program (HOME) Initiative
Lawrence County Social Services, Inc. (LCSS) on behalf of The City of New Castle, as the lead grant applicant, will conduct a public hearing on March 4, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. This public hearing will be in regards to the City of New Castle submitting an application to the Department of Community and Economic Development for HOME grant funds in the amount of $750,000.00. The meeting will be at 1745 Frew Mill Road Suite 9 New Castle, PA 16101 to hear public views, comments, and further elaborate on their HOME grant application. The City of New Castle proposes to use these funds to benefit owner occupied housing units. The HOME grant funds will be administered to the requirements outlined by the Department of Community and Economic Development, DCED. The grants are made available to people with low to very low income based on the Federal Poverty Level Income Guidelines. Written comments concerning this application may be submitted to the attention of Michael Hughes, 1745 Frew Mill Road Suite 9 New Castle, PA 16101 by 10:00 a.m. March 4, 2021.

(LCSS) on behalf of Ellwood City as the lead grant applicant and Ellport & Perry Townships as additional service areas, will conduct a public hearing on March 3, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. This public hearing will be in regards to the Borough of Ellwood City submitting an application to The Department of Community and Economic Development for a HOME grant in the amount of $750,000.00. The meeting will be at the Ellwood City Early Learning Center, 924 Crescent Ave. Ellwood City, PA 16117 to hear public views, comments, and further elaborate on their HOME grant application. Ellwood City Borough proposes to use these funds to benefit owner occupied housing units. The HOME grant funds will be administered to the requirements outlined by the Department of Community and Economic Development, DCED. The grants are made available to people with low to very low income based on the Federal Poverty Level Income Guidelines.
