Our Programs

Early Head Start

  • Serving infants and toddlers ages 6 weeks to 3.
  • Center-based services offered at Ben Franklin Early Learning Center, Ellwood City Early Learning Center, and our Frew Mill Campus in partnership with The Learning Tree.
  • Target population includes low-income families who are working, in a training program, in school, or job searching.
  • Designed to serve infants and toddlers plus their at-risk families whose income level is primarily at or below 100% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
  • All meals and diapers provided!
  • Care offered free or low cost.
  • Open Monday – Friday from 7:00 am – 5:30 pm.

Head Start

  • Serving children ages 3 – 5.
  • Locations across Lawrence County.
  • Designed to serve preschool children and their at-risk families whose income level is primarily at or below 100% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
  • Approximately 20 children in each classroom with a degreed teacher and assistant teacher.
  • All meals provided.
  • Transportation may be available, but not guaranteed.

PA Pre-K Counts

  • Serving children ages 3 – 5.
  • Locations across Lawrence County.
  • Designed to serve preschool children and their at-risk families whose income level is at or below 300% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
  • Approximately 20 children in each classroom with a degreed teacher and assistant teacher.
  • All meals provided.
  • Transportation may be available, but not guaranteed.

The Learning Tree Childcare and Preschool

  • Low-cost childcare for children ages 6 weeks to 5.
  • Child Care Subsidy accepted!
  • All meals and diapers provided, at no extra cost!
  • Center based services offered at Ben Franklin Early Learning Center, Ellwood City Early Learning Center, and our Frew Mill Campus in partnership with The Learning Tree.
  • Open Monday – Friday from 7:00 am – 5:30 pm.
