Lawrence County Association for Responsible Care (LCARC) Summer Camp @ LCCAP!

LCCAP is excited to announce that the Lawrence County Association for Responsible Care (LCARC) Summer Camp is being held at our Frew Mill Campus this year!  LCCAP and LCARC have a long standing professional relationship so when LCARC approached us about hosting their annual summer camp at our Campus, LCCAP jumped at the chance to be part of this wonderful program .  The LCARC Summer Camp is geared to providing a fun-in-the-sun activities for youth with developmental disabilities, aged 6 – 25 years old.

In past years, the camp was held at a strictly outdoor facility, which did not offer adequate shelter during rain or excessive heat.  This summer, campers have their choice of playing inside our spacious gym, taking a stroll around the expansive grounds, or just hanging out at the picnic tables with a friend.  Dan Goclano of LCARC said about the camp’s move this year to our Campus, “The new facility has been great.  The gym is large and we can have a number of activities going on at the same time. It’s also nice to eat lunch inside and the new ADA restrooms are working out well. We have up to 35 campers on any given day!  The facility is meeting the needs of the campers by providing a safe environment that everyone can enjoy.”
