During the month of September, the LCCAP Outreach Bus is going to various locations throughout Lawrence County to support remote learning families enrolled in LCCAP early learning programs.

Families are provided a week’s supply of food for the entire family and special meals for each child in the home.  These groceries include ingredients and instructions for educational cooking projects, along with a book to engage young learners.  There’s also fresh veggies from the LCCAP Healthy Start Garden.

The LCCAP Outreach Bus is loaded with health & hygiene supplies, household and cleaning supplies, kitchen and food prep supplies, COVID supplies such as masks and hand sanitizers, and much more!

Families with infants and toddlers are provided diapers, wipes, formula, baby food, and other baby items.

And to top it off, Henry’s Ice Cream Truck is at each location offering free treats to all family members!

LCCAP staff are there to assist families with applying for programs and services to help them overcome obstacles and remain safe and stable during these challenging times.

If you see the LCCAP Outreach Bus in your part of town, honk the horn to show your support for early learning family engagement!
